The Hammock Villa
Located in the south of the island at Laem set, is an elegant modern home set amidst huge granite boulders on a steep south-facing hill and is shaded by mature palm and mango trees. It is part of the ecologically-sensitive private estate of Santikhiri on the undeveloped south coast of Koh Samui.
The villa has spectacular views across of the Gulf of Thailand, and you may well be tempted just to spend the day in the hammock, strung between two mango trees growing through the deck, gazing out to an archipelago of beautiful islands. It is cooled by gentle sea breezes most of the year. A small pool, a few steps from the living room, allows you to cool-off at any time. A large communal swimming pool is found at the top of the hill.
Two spacious double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms have sea views framed by mango trees. The master bedroom has its own private balcony with hammock — the second bedroom has two twin beds that can be positioned together to form a double. The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning as well as fans.
The expansive and comfortable open-plan living area (14 x 10 m) gives on to a sun deck and has a dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen.
Staff accommodation is provided on the lower floor (which could also serve as a third bedroom). There is a separate and very secluded one-bedroom guesthouse with superb views westwards into the sunset.
The Hammock Villa is a very special place: a blend of nature, beauty and elegance — the ideal location to unwind and relax.
